9 Then Shall the Priest say,

Herefore, having in remembrance his Paffion, Death, and Refurrection from the dead; his Afcenfion into heaven, and fecond coming with glory and great power to judge the quick and the dead, and to render to every man according to his works; we Offer to Thee, our King and our God, according to his holy Inftitution, this Bread and this Cup; giving thanks to thee through him, that thou haft vouchsafed us the honour to ftand before thee, and to Sacrifice unto thee. And we beseech thee to look favourably on these thy Gifts, which are here fet before thee, O thou felf-fufficient God: And do thou Accept them to the honour of thy Christ and fend down thine Holy Spirit, the witness of the paffion of our Lord Jefus, upon this Sacrifice, that he may make this (f) Bread the Body of thy Chrift, and this (g) Cup the Blood of thy Chrift; that they who are partakers thereof, may be confirmed in godliness, may obtain remiffion of their fins, may be delivered from the Devil and his fnares, may be replenished with the Holy Ghoft, may be made worthy of thy Christ,

Apoftle haft taught us to make prayers and fupplications, and to give thanks for all men; We humbly befeech thee moft mercifully to Accept thefe our Oblations, and to receive thefe our prayers, which we Offer unto thy Divine Majefty," befeeching thee to infpire continually the Univer fal Church with the fpirit of truth, unity, and concord; and grant, that all they that do confefs thy holy Name, may agree in the truth of thy holy Word, and live in unity and godly love. Give grace, O heavenly Father, to all Bishops and Curates, that they may both by their life and doctrine fet forth thy true and lively Word, and rightly and duly adminifter thy holy Sacraments. And we moft humbly befeech thee of thy goodness, O Lord, to comfort and fuccour all them, who in this tranfitory life are in trouble, forrow, need, fickness, or any other adverfity; [*efpecially thofe for whom our prayers are defired. And here we do give unto thee moft high praife and hearty thanks, for the wonderful grace and vertue declared in all thy Saints, from the beginning of the world; and particularly in the glorious and ever-bleffed Virgin Mary, mother of thy Son Jefus Chrift cur Lord and God; and in the holy Patriarchs, Prophets, Apoftles, Martyrs, and Confeffors; whofe examples, O Lord, and ftedfaftnefs in thy faith and keeping thy holy commandments, grant us to follow. We commend unto thy mercy, O Lord, all thy Servants, who are departed hence from us with the fign of faith, and now do reft in the fleep of peace: Grant unto them, we befeech thee, thy and everlafting peace; mercy and that at the day of the general refurrection, we and all they who are of the mystical Body of thy Son, may all together be fet on his right hand, and hear that his moft joyful voice: Come, ye bleffed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. Then the Priest Shall fay the Lord's Prayer, the People repeating after him every Petition. OUR Father, which art in heaven; Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trefpaffes, as we forgive them that trefpass against us. And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

Then hall the Priest turn to the People,

and say,

The peace of the Lord be always with you.

CHrift, our Pafchal Lamb, is offered up for us,

once for all, when he bare our fins in his body upon the Crofs; for he is the very Lamb of God, that taketh away the fins of the world: Wherefore let us keep a joyful and holy feast unto the Lord.
