BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of Middletown, State of Ohio:

SECTION 1. That before any person shall enter upon Surety bonds. the performance of the duties required of any of the following named offices or employments, he shall first file with the Clerk, and to the approval of the City Commission, a bond for the faithful performance of his duties in an amount herein stated and set opposite the name of the office or employment, which said bond shall be properly executed by some indemnity or surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio, as follows:

SECTION 2. That the premium on all bonds as above enumerated shall be paid out of the general fund of the City treasury upon the order of the City Commission.

To prescribe the duties and to fix the salary and bond of the Clerk of the City Commission of the City of Middletown, Ohio.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of Middletown, State of Ohio:

Duties of Clerk.

SECTION 1. That the duties of the Clerk of the City Commission shall be to meet with the City Commission at all times and to act as the Clerk thereof; to have the management and control of all matters pertaining to the Sinking Fund under the direction of the City Commission; to have charge of and to enforce the collection of all water rates; to issue all permits and licenses authorized to be issued and to collect and receipt for all proper fees therefor; to represent the City Commission in the purchase of material needed by the City; to act as Clerk of the Municipal Court and to perform the duties thereof as prescribed in Section 5, of Article 5, of the Charter and to perform all such other duties as the City Commission may from time to time prescribe; to receive and refer to the City Commission any and all correspondence and all matters requiring its attention and to carry into effect all the directions of the City Commission.

SECTION 2. That the salary of said Clerk shall be and Salary. the same is hereby fixed at eighteen hundred dollars per , year, payable in equal monthly installments, and said salary shall be in full payment of and compensation for all the duties required by him by Section 1, hereof.

SECTION 3. That the bond of said Clerk shall be and Bond. the same is hereby fixed at five thousand dollars.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. (Ord. Bk. 3, Page 10; Jan. 8, 1914.)

To prescribe the duties and fix the salary and the bond of the Auditor of the City of Middletown, Ohio.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of Middletown, State of Ohio, in pursuance of the Charter of said City, as follows:

SECTION 1. That the duties of the Auditor of said Duties of Auditor. City shall be as prescribed in Section 7, of Article 3 of the Charter of said City and further that he shall perform such duties pertaining to the business of the said City as shall from time to time be prescribed by the City Commission or the Clerk and he shall at all times co-operate with and be under the supervision of the Clerk.

SECTION 2. That the salary of the Auditor of the City Salary. of Middletown be and the same is hereby fixed at $1,500.00 per annum, payable in equal monthly installments and said salary shall be in full payment of and compensation for all duties required of him by Section 1 of this ordinance.

SECTION 3. That the bond of said Auditor shall be and Bond. same is hereby fixed at ten thousand dollars, ($10,000.00). (Ord. Bk. 3, Page 12; Jan. 8, 1914), (Amend. Ord. Bk. 3, Page 193; July 17, 1914).
