BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Middletown, State of Ohio.

SECTION 1. That the alley extending from Young Street to Grove Avenue and lying parallel with and midway between Grand Avenue and Jacoby Avenue, except that portion back of the two lots adjoining Grove Avenue be and the same is hereby vacated upon the School Board granting upon John Wilson and John Igo a right of way sixteen feet wide immediately east of their lots.

SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.

To vacate a portion of the north side of Second Street from the intersection of the west line of Gunckel & Johnson's subdivision to Sutphin Ave., and also a portion of North Street between the same lines for the purpose of straightening said streets and to accept a similar amount on the south side.

Whereas, on the 14th day of July A. D. 1911 a petition by persons owning all the lots in the vicinity of Second Street and also on North Street from the west line of Gun. ckel and Johnson's Addition to Middletown to the east line of Sutphin Avenue, was duly presented to Council praying that ten feet off the north side of Second Street as laid out and dedicated by The Middletown Realty Company and also praying that a part of North Street according to a certain plat thereof presented to Council with said petition be vacated, and at the same time the said, The Middletown Realty Co., agreed to dedicate a similar amount of land off the north side of lots abutting said street, so as to make the said streets uniform and intersect the same streets in said Gunckel and Johnson's Addition and notice having been given as required by law, by publication in the Daily NewsSignal and the Daily Journal, two newspapers of opposite politics, published and in general circulation in said corporation for six consecutive weeks, and

Whereas, Council upon hearing, is satisfied that such vacation and the acceptance of such dedication, will not be detrimental to the general interest, and that the same ought to be made as prayed for.

Now, Therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Middletown, State of Ohio.

SECTION 1. That ten feet off the north side of Second Street from Sutphin Avenue to the east line of Gunckel and Johnson's Addition, as said street was laid out and dedicated on the recorded plat of Park Place Addition be and the same is hereby vacated, upon The Middletown Realty Company dedicated as a part of said Second Street a similar number of feet to come evenly off the north side of lot No. 5055 in said Park Place Addition.

SECTION 2. That so much of North Street as lies north of a line as shown on the plat heretofore referred to be and the same is hereby vacated upon the said The Middletown Realty Co., dedicated for street purposes a similar number of feet off the north side of the lot abutting said North Street.

SECTION 3. That the dedication of the lands hereinbefore referred to made by said The Middletown Realty Company be and the same are hereby accepted, as parts of Second Street and North Street respectively in said City.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.

AN ORDINANCE to vacate a part of Fourth Street from the east line of the beater room of the Wrenn Paper Company to the Miami River.

Whereas, on the ninth day of June, 1911, a petition by persons owning lots in the immediate vicinity of Fourth

Street, from Water Street to the Miami River, was duly presented to Council praying that a part of said Fourth Street described as follows: “Commencing at the northeast corner of the beater room of the Wrenn Paper Company; thence northwardly on a line extending the east line of said beater room 7 feet; thence westwardly parallel with the north line of said beater room to the Miami River; thence southwardly to a point that would intersect a line drawn westwardly from the north line of said beater room; thence eastwardly along the north line of said beater room to the place of beginning,” be vacated and notice of the pendency and prayer of said petition has been given as required by law by publication in the Daily News-Signal and The Daily Journal, newspapers of general circulation in the City of Middletown and for a period of six consecutive weeks, as required by law, and

Whereas, Council upon hearing is satisfied that there is good cause for such vacation as prayed for, that it will not be detrimental to the general interests, and ought to be made.

Now, Therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Middletown, State of Ohio:

SECTION 1. That the following portion of Fourth Street “Commencing at the northeast corner of the beater room of the Wrenn Paper Company; thence northwardly on a line extending the east line of said beater room seven feet; thence westwardly, parallel with the north line of said beater room to the Miami River; thence southwardly to a point that would intersect a line drawn westwardly from the north line of said beater room; thence eastwardly along the north line of said beater room to the place of beginning," be and the same is hereby vacated.

SECTION 2. That this ordinance be and remain in full force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.

To vacate certain alley lying on the south side of lots numbers 4517, 4515, 4514 and 4513, Middletown, Butler County, Ohio, from Mary Etta Ave., along the C. C. C. & St. L. Ry. Switch, thence north along said to Frank Ave.

Whereas, on the 8th day of February, 1912 a petition by persons owning lots in the immediate vicinity of Frank Avenue and Mary Etta Avenue in the City of Middletown, Butler County, Ohio, was duly presented to the Council of said City, praying that an alley lying between the C. C. C. & St. L. Ry. Switch and along the southwardly side of lots No. 4517, 4516, 4515, 4514 and 4513 and extending from Mary Etta Avenue along the north side of the C. C. C. & St. L. Ry. Switch for a distance of 160 feet, thence north for a distance of 1741/2 feet along the rear of said lots, coming out on Frank Avenue, and whereas, notice of the pendency and prayer of said petition has been given as required by law, by publication in Middletown Daily Journal, a newspaper of general circulation in said City of Middletown, Butler County, Ohio, for six consecutive weeks ending March 21, 1912.

And, whereas, Council upon hearing is satisfied there is good cause for such vacation as prayed for, that it will not be detrimental to the general interest, and that such vacation ought to be made. Now, Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it ordained, that the said alley as herein above described and as is set out in said petition and shown on plat with said petition be and the same is hereby vacated.

SECTION 2. That this ordinance be and remain in full force and effect from and after the earliest date allowed by law.

AN ORDINANCE to vacate a portion of Second Street, Middletown, Ohio.

Whereas, on the 17th day of April A. D. 1912, a petition by persons owning lots No. 31 and 32 as numbered and designated on the recorded plat of the City of Middletown, Ohio, and also owning other real estate in said immediate vicinity, was duly presented to Council praying that the following portion of Second Street be vacated to-wit:

A strip twenty-one feet and nine inches wide and one hundred feet long, commencing at the north-west corner of said lot thirty-one and at the intersection of west alley and Second Street; thence eastwardly along the north line of said lot thirty-one, one hundred feet; thence northwardly and at right angles to said north line of said lot thirty-one, twenty-one feet and nine inches; thence westwardly and parallel with the north line of said lot thirty-one, one hundred feet; thence southwardly twenty-one feet and nine inches to the place of beginning the said west line of the strip herein described being parallel with the said east line thereof and also being a continuation of the east line of said west alley.

And, Whereas, notice of the pendency and prayer of said petition has been given as required by law by publication in the Middletown News-Signal and also in the Middletown Journal, two newspapers of general circulation in the Corporation of the City of Middletown, Ohio, for six consecutive weeks prior to the third day of June, 1912, and

Whereas, Council upon hearing is satisfied that there is good cause for such vacation as prayed for, that it will not be detrimental to the general interests and ought to be made.

Now, Therefore, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of Middletown, Ohio:

SECTION 1. That the following portion of Second Street in said City be and the same is hereby vacated, said portion being as follows:
