The Assembly returned the concurrent resolution by Mr. Knight, relative to memorializing Congress, relative to operation of the New York State canal system.

Also, the concurrent resolution by Mr. Mullan, relative to the extension of time of joint legislative committee on education, with a message that they have concurred in the adoption of the same. The Assembly sent for concurrence a resolution, in the words following:

Resolved (if the Senate concur), That the time for the making of a report by the joint legislative committee created pursuant to a joint resolution adopted April twenty-fourth, nineteen hundred and twenty, to examine the Election Law and other statutes relating to crimes respecting the elective franchise or corrupt practices at primaries and elections and to recommend a revision thereof, be hereby extended to the first day of March, nineteen hundred and twenty-one; and be it further

Resolved, That such committee shall consist of the persons who constituted the committee on the thirty-first day of December, nineteen hundred and twenty, including the member who, when appointed, was a Member of Assembly, and who has since been elected to the Senate, and that no vacancy be deemed to have occurred in such committee by reason of such election.

Ordered, That said resolution be referred to the committee on the judiciary.
