A constitutional majority having voted in favor of the passage of the bill, the bill passed, and the title was agreed to.

Senate bill No. 316, An act making appropriation for the support of the State Normal School and for certain land, buildings and improvements herein named.

On request of Senator Chaney, the following was inserted in line 7 of section 2, after the figures 29: "Borton's addition to the city of Emporia."

The question being, Shall the bill pass? the roll was called, with the following result: Yeas 33, nays 0; absent or not voting, 7.

Senate bill No. 441, An act making appropriation for the current expenses of the Topeka Insane Asylum for the fiscal years ending June 30, 1904, and June 30, 1905, for laundry building and equipment, extending water service, building and equipping toilet-rooms and corridor, and for the purchase of additional ground.

Unanimous consent being granted, the words "Insane Asylum," in the title and bill, were changed to the words "State Hospital."

The question being, Shall the bill pass? the roll was called, with the following result: Yeas 27, nays 0; absent or not voting, 13.

Senate bill No. 446, An act making appropriations for current expenses for the Kansas State Asylum for Idiotic and Imbecile Youth, at Winfield, for the fiscal years ending

June 30, 1904, and June 30, 1905, and for the construction of a new kitchen, bakery, employees' quarters, stand-pipe, and equipment, for the years ending June 30, 1903, and June 30, 1904.

Unanimous consent being granted, the words "Asylum for Idiotic and Imbecile Youth" were changed to the words "School for Feeble-minded Youth," in both title and body of bill.

Unanimous concent being granted, the words "cistern, barn" were inserted after the word "stand-pipe," in the title of the bill.

The question being, Shall the bill pass? the roll was called, with the following result: Yeas 27, nays 0; absent or not voting, 13.
