A MORNING PRAYER.
Ꭱ Ꭺ Ꭱ

MAKER of heaven and earth, who despisest no work of thine hands, have mercy on me, who come before thee in the name of Jesus Christ. I do repent and turn unto thee, beseeching thee to give me grace to do works meet for repentance. And I do also humbly thank thee for thy merciful protection through the night, entreating thee to prosper this day the work of my hands that I may diligently and honestly earn the support of my body, but above

all to sanctify the work of my heart, that I may watchfully work the salvation of my soul. 0 work in me both to will and to do if thy good pleasure, purge continually my conscience from dead works to serve thee the living God, and keep me in the vineyard of thy blessed Son, that at the end of the work of this mortal life, I may receive the wages which thou hast promised to thy good and faithful servants, and may enter into the joy of my Lord. Grant this for the sake of Jesus Christ my Redeemer. Amen.

AN EVENING PRAYER.

FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ, I come again before thee, at the close of this day, which thou in thy long-suffering mercy hast added to my life. Forgive me, for his sake, every thought, word, and work, which hath not been according to thy will, or hath come short of the measure of thy glory. Accept mine humble and hearty thanks for the blessings which 1 have this day experienced at thy hands in body and in soul. And may it please thee to continue thy protection unto me through the coming night, refreshing my body with wholesome sleep, and my soul with pure spiritual comfort. Grant me thy grace evermore to walk as a child of light, having no

fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, and to wait for thy coming in all watchfulness, with my loins girded about, and my lights burning. So So may I enter into thy rest from the labours of this sinful world, and enjoy an everlasting sabbath in heaven, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
