The Secretary of State presiding.
Prayer by the Rev. Frank W. Allen.

The Journal of yesterday was being read, when, on motion of Mr. Shephard, the further reading of the same was dispensed with, and it was ordered to stand approved.

The order of business at the hour of adjournment on yesterday being the selection of a Temporary Speaker, the Secretary of State directed the Clerk to call the roll, which resulted as follows:
