An Act to amend an Act entitled, "An Act to provide for placing United States National flags on school houses, court houses and other public buildings in this State, and to repeal certain Acts therein named," approved June 2, 1897, in force July 1, 1897, by adding to said Act, a new section to be known as section three-a (3a) and by amending the title of said Act so as to read as hereinafter provided.

An Act to amend an Act entitled, "An Act concerning corporations," approved April 18, 1872, in force July 1, 1872, by amending section 25 of said Act so as to enlarge the jurisdiction of courts of equity to dissolve and wind up corporations.

Mr. Speaker-I am directed to inform the House of Representatives that the Senate has passed a bill of the following title, in the passage of which I am instructed to ask the concurrence of the House of Representatives, to wit:

SENATE BILL No. 159.

A bill for "An Act making an appropriation to meet a deficiency in appropriations for the Illinois State Public Utilities Commission and to provide the necessary funds to carry on the business of said commission, including the amount necessary to carry on the business of the State Grain Inspection Department, until the first day of July, 1915, and declaring an emergency." Passed by the Senate, April 27, 1915, by two-thirds vote.

SPECIAL ORDER.

The hour having arrived, the time heretofore fixed for the special consideration of House Bill No. 624 in the order of second reading, House Bill No. 624, a bill for "An Act in relation to actions in equity,"

Having been printed, was taken up and read at large a second time, Whereupon, Mr. Lee O'Neil Browne offered the following amendment and moved its adoption:

AMENDMENT No. 1.

Amend House Bill No. 624 by striking out the enacting clause.

And the question being on the adoption of the amendment, a division of the House was had, resulting as follows: Yeas, 25; nays, 78, And the amendment was lost,

And the question then being, "Shall the bill be engrossed for a third reading?" it was decided in the affirmative.

By unanimous consent, on motion of Mr. Lee O'Neil Browne, the special order on House Bill No. 625, set for today, was postponed until tomorrow.

By unanimous consent, Mr. Arthur Roe introduced a bill, House Bill No. 821, a bill for "An Act to amend an Act entitled, ‘An Act in relation to practice and procedure in courts of record,' approved June 3, 1907, in force July 1, 1907, as subsequently amended by amending sections and 24 thereof."

The bill was taken up, read by title, ordered printed and referred to the Committee on Judicial Department and Practice.

At the hour of 12:25 o'clock p. m., Mr. Thomas Curran moved that the House do now take a recess until 4:00 o'clock p. m.,

And the motion prevailed.
