No person having received the necessary constitutional majority, the Secretary of State announced that there was no choice for Temporary Speaker. Mr. Kane offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: HOUSE RESOLUTION No. 5. Resolved, That a committee of three members be appointed by the Secretary of State, to wait upon Justice Frank K. Dunn, of the Supreme Court, and request him to administer the oath of office to Hon. Francis E. Williamson, a member-elect of this House. And the resolution was adopted. The Secretary of State thereupon appointed as such committee Messrs. Kane, Rinehart and Burres. Mr. Kane, from the committee heretofore appointed to wait upon Justice Dunn, and request him to administer the oath of office to Hon. Francis E. Williamson, announced that Justice Frank K. Dunn, of the Supreme Court, was present and ready to perform that duty. Whereupon, the oath was administered to Hon. Francis E. Williamson, member-elect, and the Clerk directed to place his name on the roll as a member of the House.
