The Gentiles believe.

THE ACTS.

44 And the next sabbath-day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet 1 am not worthy to loose. 45 But when the Jews saw the multi26 Men and brethren, children of the tudes, they were filled with envy, and stock of Abraham, and whosoever among spake against those things which were you feareth God, to you is the word of this spoken by Paul, contradicting and blassalvation sent. pheming.

28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.

46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo. we turn to the Gentiles.

47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre. 48 And when the Gentiles heard this, 30 But God raised him from the dead: they were glad, and glorified the word of 31 And he was seen many days of them the Lord: and as many as were ordained which came up with him from Galilee to to eternal life, believed. 49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.

50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.

33 And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.

34 Notwithstanding, it pleased Silas to abide there still.

35 Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.

10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering, that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

11 Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis;

12 And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony and we were in that city abiding certain days.

36 And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.

37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.

38 And the sergeants told these words unto the magistrates: and they feared when they heard that they were Romans.

39 And they came and besought them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the city.

16 Now, while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.

17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.

32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.
