At the banquet, at the Metropolitan Opera House, the Governor of each State will be invited, or, in his absence, the LieutenantGovernor, or, in his absence, some gentleman of distinction from each State, whom the Governor may appoint. 8th.-The States will have precedence in all cases according to the date of their admission into the United States.
