SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT OF THE COMMISSION DIVISION 4, COMMISSIONERS PORTER, MAHAFFIE, AND MILLER BY DIVISION 4: Exceptions to the report proposed by the examiner were filed. By report and order in this proceeding dated March 18, 1940, 239 I. C. C. 206, we denied the application of Norman B. Pitcairn and Frank C. Nicodemus, Jr., receivers of the Wabash Railway Company, for permission to abandon a branch line of railroad extending from Salisbury to Glasgow, approximately 15.37 miles, in Chariton and Howard Counties, Mo. The denial was without prejudice to the right of the applicants to renew the application after the expiration of 1 year from the date thereof if it could be shown that operations could be conducted only at a loss. By petition filed April 28, 1941, the applicants requested that the proceeding be reopened and reconsidered. The petition was granted by order of May 16, 1941.
