Mr. Brown, from the committee to whom was referred the bill entitled "An act to authorize the survey of two millions of acres of the public lands, in lieu of that quantity heretofore authorized to be surveyed, in the Territory of Michigan, as military bounty lands," reported it without amendment.

The Senate resumed, as in committee of the whole, the consideration of the bill entitled "An act supplementary to the act passed the 30th of March, 1802, to regulate trade and intercourse with the Indian tribes, and to preserve peace on the frontiers," and

The Senate resumed, as in committee of the whole, the consideration of the bill entitled "An act to alter certain parts of the act providing for the government of the Territory of Missouri," and Ordered, That it pass to a third reading.

The Senate resumed, as in committee of the whole, the consideration of the bill entitled “ An act for the relief of Thomas B. Farish."

Ordered, That the further consideration thereof be postponed until the first Monday in July next.

The Senate resumed, as in committee of the whole, the consideration of the bill to ascertain

and establish the western boundary of the tract reserved for satisfying the military bounties allowed to the officers and soldiers of the Virginia line, on State and Continental establishment.

lief of a company of the 20th brigade of Virginia militia, commanded by captain Jonathan Walmsley," the bill entitled "An act making further provision for settling claims to land in the Territo

ry of Illinois," the bill entitled "An act supplemental to the act entitled 'An act regulating and defining the duties of the judges of the Territory of Illinois, and for vesting in the courts of the Territory of Indiana, a jurisdiction in chancery cases, arising in the said Territory," the bill entitled "An act for the relief of the supervisors of the county of Clinton, in the State of New-York," also the bill entitled "An act authorizing the payment for the court-house of Hamilton, in the State of Ohio."

The Senate resumed, as in committee of the whole, the consideration of the bill to increase the salary of the Register of the Treasury, and to allow him a compensation for his agency in countersigning and issuing treasury notes.
