Mr. Goldsborough presented the petition of Bernard O`Neil, and also the petition of William F, Abbott and others, praying compensation for the loss of property destroyed by the enemy during the late war, as stated in the petitions, which

were read.

On motion by Mr. Goldsborough, Ordered, That they be respectively referred to the committee on military affairs, to consider and report thereon by bill or otherwise.

The bill entitled “ An act authorizing the payment for the court-house of Hamilton, in the State of Ohio," was read the second time.

On motion, Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on military affairs, to consider and report thereon. .

The bill entitled “ An act for the payment of the militia in the case therein mentioned," was read the second time.
