Mr. Thomas Dand and Mr. Thomas Calvert have been elected and admitted Taberdars of Queen's College; Messrs. An Address from this University to his Majesty, expressive of attachment to his Majesty and abhorrence of the late treasonable and premeditated attack on his person at Ascot, was presented by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Jones, Rector of Exeter College, attended by the Delegates nominated for that purpose, and accompanied by numerous noblemen and other distinguished members of the University; his Majesty returned a most gracious answer, and the members of the deputation had the honour of being severally presented to his Majesty, and of kissing hands. His Majesty appeared highly gratified with the expression of affection and respect thus tendered to him on the part of the University.
