The above cut shows Grate shut in Section A, and open in Section B. The Levers shown in cut ex. end up into the cab of engine, and the remarkable fact remains that the Grate can be cleaned while running at the bighest rate of speed, and be kept perfectly clear of clinkers. The long bars in Grate are Water Bars, the short ones are Rocking Bars, both being hollow, as a natural consequence cannot be warped or burned. We claim a saving in fuel of 35 per aent., not considering the great saving on the flues and engine proper. This Grate can be used with or without Water Bars on locomotives, Hikewise on stationary engines, furnaces and ranges of all kinds; and is now in preferable uge on the Lehigh Valley R. R., and unreservedly endorsed by them. This Grate will pay for itself in thirty days, and last for years. Patent Sight-Feed Lubricators for Locomotive Valves and Cylinders, WESTINGHOUSE AIR PUMPS, STATIONARY AND PORTABLE ENGINES

These Lubricators effect & saving in Oil of from 50 TO 80 PER CENT., and experience shows that the SAVING IN OIL and WEAR of MACHINERY will pay for the Lubricator three or foar times & year, and that by reason of the perfect Lubrication secured, an engine will HANDL2 EASIER, MAKE BETTER TIME, USE LESS FUEL, AND HAUL A LARGER TONNAGE.

Both cups are placed within the cab. The Valve Cup has two sight feed glasses, each of whicb to connected to the Right and Left Hand Steam Chests, by means of the so-called “tallow pipes,"

hus securing INDEPENDENT LUBRICATION, TO EACH STEAM CHEST AND CYLINDER FROM ONE CUP. The oil is shown passing in drops through each Sight-feed Glass to the parts to be lubricated and can be regalated to feed FAŠT or slow. The feed is regular and contindous, going up or down grade, WHETHER PRESSURE IS ON OR OFF, thus securing perfect lubrication at all times. The valves and cylinder oups are equiped with

valves which may be used as HAND OILERS 10 case of breakage of glass, and the oups are so constructed that they will FEED TALLOW in the COLDEST WEATHER,

To illustrate the SAVING IN OIL by the use of these Lubricators, we desire to state that a mileages from 250 to 600 miles to one quart for valve and cyllader cup, and from 500 to 1500 mlles te HALF-PINT for Air Pump Lubricator is a common experience

These Lubricators are in successful use on about 70 leading roads to whom references will be given
