By Mr. Scranton: The petition of Zepheniah Knapp, praying for an invalid pension for services in the war of 1812; which was referred to the Committee on Invalid Pensions. By Mr. Ruffin: The memorial of the Craven county court of North Carolina, asking compensation for the use and occupation of the courthouse of said county by the United States district court; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary. Mr. Boteler, by unanimous consent, from the Committee on Military Affairs, to whom was referred the bill of the House (H. R. 132) to remove the United States arsenal from the city of St. Louis, and to establish the same, together with a national armory, at Jefferson Barracks, reported the same with an amendment, accompanied by a report in writing thereon. Ordered, That the said bill be committed to the Committee of the Whole House on the state of the Union, and that the bill and report be printed. Mr. Houston moved that the vote last taken be reconsidered, and also moved that the motion to reconsider be laid on the table; which latter motion was agreed to.
