Mr. Burlingame moved that the vote last taken be reconsidered, and also moved that the motion to reconsider be laid on the table; which latter motion was agreed to. R. 44) confirming certain land entries under the 3d section of the act of 3d March, 1855, entitled "An act making ap propriations for the service of the Post Office Department during the fiscal year ending the 30th of June, 1856,” with the amendment of the Senate thereto, was referred to the Committee on Public Lands. The said motion was passed over. Mr. Noell, by unanimous consent, from the Committee on Private Land Claims, to whom was referred the bill of the Senate (S. 104) for the final adjustment of private land claims in the States of Florida, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Missouri, and for other purposes, reported the same with an amendment.
