TEXTS.

GOD IS LOVE.-1 John iv. 16.

God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.-John iii. 16.

The blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from all sin.-1 John i. 7.

Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.-John i. 29.

What must I do to be saved? and they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.-Acts xvi. 31, 32.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: Who can know it?— Jeremiah xvii. 9.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.-John iii. 3, 5.

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.-Ezek. xxxvi. 26, 27.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.-Ps. li. 10. But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Meekness, temperance, against such there is no law. Gal. v. 22, 23.

God is a spirit; and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.— John iv. 24.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

If

ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?-Luke xi. 9-13.

The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.—Prov. xv. 3. Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.-Eph. vi. 1.

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour; and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.-Eph. iv. 31, 32.

Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.-1 Peter, ii. 17. lv.;
