Mr. Brandley moved that the rules be suspended, and Senate concurrent resolution No. 44 taken up for consideration now, which motion prevailed, and Senate concurrent resolution No. 44, "Relating to certain bribe money," was taken up for consideration.

Resolved by the Senate, the House concurring therein, That the President of the Senate and Treasurer of State are hereby authorized and required to employ counsel in defending the suit now pending, in which J.
