House Bill No. 6, An act to remit the penalty on unpaid taxes in certain cases.

Mr. Murdock moved that the Senate resolve itself into Committee of the Whole upon bills on the Calendar.

After some time spent therein the Committee arose, and through their Chairman made the following report:

Mr. President: Your Committee have had under consideration

House Bill No. 5, An act authorizing the county commissioners of Cowley county, Kansas, to issue bonds to liquidate the indebtedness of said county,

And I am directed to report the said bill to the Senate with the recommendation that it retain its place upon the Calendar.

Senate Bill No. 28, An act to postpone sale of real estate for taxes of 1872,

And recommend that it retain its place upon the Calendar.

Senate Bill No. 21, An act to amend section 601 of the code of civil procedure,

And recommend that it be rejected.

Senate Bill No. 24, An act to provide for the publication of all general and certain local laws,

And recommend that it retain its place upon the Calendar.

Senate Bill No. 42, To amend section 17, chapter 89, General Statutes of 1868, in relation to roads and highways, And recommend that it retain its place upon the Calendar.

Senate Bill No. 50, An act relating to certain offenses, and to provide for the punishment thereof,

And recommend that it retain its place upon the Calendar.

House Bill No. 10, An act creating a metropolitan police for cities of the first class,

And recommend that it retain its place upon the Calendar.

Senate Bill No. 62, An act to amend section 3 of the dram shop act, approved March 3, 1868,

And recommend that it be rejected.

House Bill No. 21, An act to vacate cemetery grounds in Blue Rapids City, Marshall county, Kansas,

And recommend that it be passed.

Senate Bill No. 60, An act to vacate that part of the town site of the city of Le Roy, lying south of the Neosho river,

And recommend that it be passed as amended.

Senate Bill No. 33, An act to provide for attorneys' fees in certain actions against railroad companies,

And recommend that it be rejected.

Senate Bill No. 14, An act to amend section 28 of chapter 89 of the General Statutes of Kansas,

And recommend that it be passed subject to amendment on third reading.
