States Army, how many cavalry and how many infantry regiments are employed on the
Texas frontier, the number and character of the troops employed there, the condition
and military management of the frontier, and what additional military forces are needed
to protect the people of Texas from Mexican raiders

That the Committee of Ways and Means be instructed to so revise the tariff as to make
it purely and solely a tariff for revenue, and not for protecting one class of citizens by

on land and by sea, of the United States with the British Possessions in North
America in the years 1875 and 1876, with information of the amount of duties levied on
