Slovak History: Chronology & Lexicon

The history of Slovakia is part of the rich tapestry of the course of human events at the geographical and strategic crossroads of Europe. The book consists of two parts: a chronology of Slovak history from the earliest times through the end of 1998 and a lexicon containing 330 subject-matter headwords, including biographical portraits describing the most important events and personages in Slovak history. Appendices provide genealogies and leadership lists for ruling royal dynasties and republican regimes. This book also includes a survey of common Germanic place names located on the territory of Slovakia and a selected bibliography.
