About the author (1997)

Born in Argentina, Elsa Bornemann is one of the most important authors in Spanish children's literature. Her extensive work, which includes novels, poetry, short stories, songs, plays for theater and television, translations, and anthologies, has earned her several national and international recognitions and awards, such as the IBBY Honor List and the Internationale Jugendbibliothek of Germany Honor List.
