About the author (1996)

Dr. Neil T. Anderson is the founder and president emeritus of Freedom in Christ Ministries, which has offices in Canada, United Kingdom, Switzerland, India, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, and throughout the United States. He conducts conferences for Christian leaders around the world in addition to maintaining a heavy writing schedule. Neil stays involved with the academic community by teaching Doctor of Ministry classes at several seminaries. He enjoys golf, bike riding, traveling, family, and being a grandparent.

Together with his wife, Julia, Mike Quarles directs Grace Walk Recovery Ministries. Out of his experience as a longtime pastor and apparently hopeless alcoholic, he now spends his life spreading the message that God has provided an answer to addiction in His Word of Truth, the Bible. Mike is coauthor of Helping Others Overcome Addictions. He also authored Freedom from Addiction and its companion resources together with Neil T. Anderson, founder of Freedom in Christ Ministries. Mike and Julia live in Georgia.

Julia Quarles, along with her husband, Mike, has been with Freedom in Christ Ministries since 1994. They currently direct the Freedom in Christ Recovery Ministry. They have coauthored the following books with Neil Anderson: "Freedom from Addiction, Freedom from Addiction Workbook, " and "One Day at a Time". They have three grown children and seven grandchildren and live near Atlanta, Georgia.
